Kolby is 1!

On Kolby's birthday Adam's sister Liz and her family came over for dinner. We had Spaghetti for dinner one of Kolby's favorites. We gave him a cupcake and sang to him.

Looking at everyone while they sang to him. He was so tired.

He played with it for a while and then threw it on the floor. Wasn't interested at all.

The next weekend we had our parents come over for dinner and we had hamburgers and hot dogs. Another Kolby favorite. I did all Dr. Seuss stuff. Kolby LOVES Dr. Seuss. He will bring me Dr. Seuss books to read him and he loves the Cat in the Hat cartoon.

Kolby in his thing 1 shirt.
 The smash cake.
It said A person's a person no matter how small.

Kolby loves balloons. I don't know why I even bought him gifts. He just wanted to play with the balloons.

No Dad! I want to finish my cake!!

Opening a gift from his Aunt Ray Ray.

We had lots of fun. Kolby got Some new Cloths, Bubbles, Books, and swing from Adam and I, My Mom and Dad and Morgan gave him a new Little Tikes slide, Adam's parents gave him money to start a savings account, Sarah gave him cloths, and Liz gave him a new outfit.

April

It's April! I'm almost caught up! =)

This little monster is a hand full.

 Pick me up Mom!!

If you give a little boy an empty box filled with toys he will be entertained for almost an hour.

You can pick me up now!

For Easter we went to my Mom and Dad's house. We played with a bubble machine outside. Kolby loved it. He was kinda bummed when we ran out of bubbles.

We have already done a lot this month.

It was Adam's parent's 50th wedding anniversary.

We all got together and had a family party and took some family pictures. I haven't seen any of them yet but I have a couple that Adam's brother Fred took.

Here is Adam's parents and all of the siblings.

Here are some grandkids. Adam's Mom told me on Saturday that we have 41 Grand kids. That includes the great grandkids. We also have 3 on the way.
Holly Cow that's a lot of kids!!

I will post more pictures when I get them.

Adam's Mom was entertaining herself at the party. Decided Kolby needed some earrings.
Kolby fell asleep in Grandma J.'s lap

Hanging out with Aunt Ruth after the party.

Kolby and Uncle Shane. That looks Comfortable! ;)

Kolby holding hands with his cousin Bailey.

We bought Kolby a new front facing car seat. He loved it. It was like a whole new world to him. He just laughed the whole time.

We went for a drive up to Idaho. We wanted to look at some houses for sale. We came across this lake and let Kolby get out for a while and play.

 They are so cute. ;)

Waffle monster! I had only given him a little square and left to change the laundry. When I came back he had crawled out of his chair and grabbed the waffle off the counter and started chowing down. I guess I need to start buckling him in ;)

Bath time.

We decided to put down new flooring and paint the living room, hall, and our bedroom. On Tuesday we went to Lowe's and picked up the wood floors.
Every time that we go to Lowe's Adam is like a little kid in a toy store.
I want I want I want.... He finally talked me into getting a riding lawn mower.

Kolby and his Grandma. This little boy is so funny. He sat on it and instantly started making noises like a lawn mower.

Adam and Kolby Love the lawn mower. I told Adam that he started a habit. Now Kolby is going to want to ride it every time Adam starts it.
Every time they passed me Kolby would point at me with a big smile and then clap his hands and sing.

Now I don't have to buy a Fathers day gift. ;)

I will post some pictures of the floor's once they get put in.

My first 5K is this Saturday.
Wish me luck! I hope I don't fall.
It should be fun. They throw color on you through the race.

I have another 5K on the 12th. I think I might be crazy. I suck at running.

Scary Day. March 1, 2012

Kolby waiting to get his Adenoids taken out and tubes put in.
We had to be there at 6 A.M. Not fun.

It was about 7 at this time. He was so hungry! He is such a happy boy.

Still waiting! Isn't the hospital gown cute?

Ok, so here is the scary part.
We went in there thinking that we would be in and out within a couple of hours. Think again!
After Kolby's surgery the Dr. came out and said that everything went well and that he is in recovery. Once he is awake they will bring him out so get a bottle ready. So I hurry and get it ready and patently wait.... and wait....
We had heard something over the speaker about resuscitation to recovery. Adam and I look at each other and thought NO that's not Kolby. So we kept waiting. Finally an hour later the Anesthesiologist came out and said that everything was fine. He had quit breathing and they had to resuscitate him. What!?!? He kept telling us that everything is fine and that they will bring him out soon to see us. When they finally brought him out he was not happy. When he finally fell asleep all of a sudden he had a heart problem and it started going really fast. I had to scare him and yelled Kolby and woke him up. His heart rate went back down and he of course was not happy. The Dr. decided to keep us there a while longer and got us a room. We sat there all day and had to monitor his heart and breathing. The nurse finally came in and said that everything was looking good and that we could go home at 5 P.M. It was a long day!
We have had so many scary moments with this little boy. He really is a trooper. He just smiles.

This is what made Kolby Happy. A fire and a juice box.

The next day My Dad came to visit him. He brought him this. It made his day!

Snuggling with Papa.

March

 Playing with his animals.

 Bubble bath time!!

This was probably the last time we did a sink bath. Water everywhere!!

Adam and I took Kolby for a walk to the park one Sunday. Kolby Loved it! He  Laughed so hard when we put him on the swing.

 Kolby in his new aviators.

I bought a wagon a while ago so that I could just walk to get my bountiful baskets. Kolby loves it. He will laugh and sing while I pull him in it.

And this is how I entertain Kolby while I make dinner. It's the only way I can get him to sit still while I cook.

Auntie Morgan gave him this lion. He loves it!!
